Rev. Diane Rollert with special guest Rev. Tet Gallardo, minister of the UU Church of the Philippines

Rev. Tet Gallardo will talk about the grace of being open to the world as has been taught by Filipinos for centuries. She calls it the Open Sea Spirituality, the cultural ethos and the civic religion of Filipinos, descendants of Polynesians who have traveled the world longer and farther than the Vikings, making community, not pillaging or plundering, wherever they went. Filipinos are a remarkably happy bunch and she says, "A people who know how to be happy still know how to be free.”

Rev. Diane and Rev. Tet met in 2012, while Rev Diane was serving in a sabbatical ministry in the Philippines. They have been close friends and colleagues ever since.
