This month as we explore human rights, we begin by asking what are our basic rights and freedom. Perhaps we’ve come to take for granted the freedom of conscience, religion, equality and the right to control our own bodies. Yet we’ve been watching those very rights be eroded not just around the world, but here in our own home. As we watch women and others rising up for human rights in Iran, there’s also a message to be shared about rights and freedom in Quebec.
