“A song's wink aligned me with joy. And a tune paradise hums I came to know.” The celebrated Persian poet Shams-ud-din Muhammad Hafiz (c. 1320-1389), has much to teach us about finding joy in the everyday. Beloved among Persians for centuries and admired by Goethe, Emerson and others, Hafiz continues to be a source of inspiration to this day. This Sunday, we’ll wrap ourselves in the beauty and joy of his language.
