In her 1993 book, Parable of the Sower, African American science fiction writer Octavia Butler offered a compelling vision of the future that rings true in many ways today. In order to survive in a post-apocalyptic North America, her protagonist creates her own religion, Earthseed, founded on the idea that God is change. Join Rev.
