Closing Words - All Souls Meditation

The star wheel turns
and the days grow shorter,
as the autumn separates
the summer from winter.

Perhaps in this brief transition,
the veil between the living and the dead
really does become thin —
enough for us to reconnect
with our ancestors,
making this is a time to rejoice
in that brief meeting.

May we remember the resilience
of our ancestors
who came before us,
who have given us life,
who survived their own trials,
who have given us strength,
who have taught us lessons
we haven't always known we needed to learn.

May their memory light the path ahead for us,
and may we aspire to light
many paths behind us,
as we step from the present
into our own future,
