This meditation is from Susan Gray, a member of our congregation. She wrote this poem in response to a reflection by one of our recent guest speakers, Rabbi Sherril Gilbert.
Intertwined
Is it true that under a
broken heart lies an
unbroken-ness true north
I've been there but still
heart/head have not mended
i have an ugly soul
it wants to steal the stage
bright lights! razamatazz!
Hey Ego, shut up (un-
finished business)
is my unfinished
busy-ness this plague
that corrodes (me)
label her stick her in a jar
air tight
the shrink- wise man or
profiteering? confusing me
even more sometimes
words & music
envelopes of words
i curate
out of this void
for you
