Breathe in
and breath out
with me.
Let us take a collective breath of life together
and let it fill our hearts
in silent gratitude
for this moment we share,
connected in our living, breathing humanity,
in this place of beloved community.
Imagine the sun rising to greet you
and let your body be filled with its light.
If you awoke with burdens
weighing you down this morning,
imagine, if you can,
giving yourself permission
to physically lay those burdens down,
to place them aside,
if only for this moment,
to give yourself this brief respite
to breath freely.
Let these breaths that we take collectively
be healing breaths for us all.
If you awoke this morning with joy in your heart,
imagine lifting up your feelings of happiness
to bathe this world in its light.
May we all breathe into our hearts
the light that is offered to us.
May love fill our hearts,
and may the love we have known,
the love that we feel,
the love that we need,
live on,
eternally,
through the generations
that will carry it on,
long after we are gone.
When I breathe in, I'll breathe in peace.
When I breathe out, I'll breathe out love.
